Active learning in DCC’s English classes


In our classes, we aim to enjoy each other’s company while sharing our engagement in the joys and tribulations of expressing oneself through the English language.


We have collaborated with Doncaster Museum to introduce people seeking asylum to aspects of Doncaster’s history, notably the Victorian period and the rise and fall of coal mining.



We have all benefitted from handling the artefacts which museum staff have shown us.
